Combination Square/Phillips drive is designed to be driven with a Combo or Square drive bit to provide better engagement and reduction of "cam out" while driving. A standard Phillips bit should not be used for installation. These screws are popular for cabinetinstallation, particle wood installation and other general purpose decking and woodworking. The Type 17 auger point reduces torque during driving, provides quicker starting penetration and reduces splitting in hard woods or when installation close to an edge is required.
