HEICO-LOCK Wedge Lock Washers Zinc - Large OD

HEICO-LOCK Wedge Lock Steel Washers are made of SAE J-403/AISI 1042/1045 high carbon steel, coated with Delta Protekt® zinc flake coating. The wedge lock washers consist of a pair of washers with a wedge-locking action, which is a unique method that uses tension instead of friction to resist loosening under vibration. The key is the differences in angles. Angle “A” is large than angle “B,” so the pair of washers expand more than the corresponding pitch of the thread. HEICO-LOCK Wedge Lock Washers then positively lock the fastener in place, even in applications where extreme vibration or dynamic loads are an issue. Large O.D. washers are recommended for use on large or long holes, painted surfaces or soft materials like Aluminum. Made in Germany.
