#8 x 1 1/16 Simpson Strong-Tie CBSDQ Sheathing-to-CFS Screw - Carton (5000)The CBSDQ Sheathing-to-CFS screw securely fastens various sheathing materials to cold-formed-steel (CFS). Its self-drilling point drives into materials easily and the flat head with nibs countersinks flush to surfaces. This screw is ideally suited for fastening sheathing to interior walls and floors (recommended thicknesses: 11–18 gauge).
The CBSDQ screw features a ribbed flat head with nibs for easy countersinking and a smooth finish, a #2 undersized square drive (driver bit included in each box; replacement bit: BIT2SU-2-RC3), and a #2 drill point with wings to prevent jacking. It includes a Quik Guard® coating for enhanced corrosion resistance and complies with code requirements for shearwalls and diaphragms as described in AISI S240 and S400. This screw is ideally suited for fastening sheathing to cold-formed steel in interior walls and floors with a recommended metal thickness of 11–18 gauge. Also available in bulk packaging.
